AC Summer Reading 2015- The Book Thief
Who saw Liesel steal the book from the pile of ashes? Was it Ludwig Schmeikl? She said that "if it had a face, the expression on it would have been one of injury," (Zusak, 122) and they had mentioned 2 chapters ago that Ludwig had crushed his ankle. This section confuses me.
